Losing weight slowly, in public
I weighed 293 pounds in January. I weigh 283 now. That's ten pounds in seven months, which is slower than anything anyone tries to sell you, and I still don't know if it's going to work. I'm writing it down anyway — every weigh-in, including the bad ones, and the food I actually cook.

Alma TED, month 0: $717.57 and a diagnosis
First session of a hair loss treatment, what it actually cost, what they found under the microscope, and why I've been told not to try anything else at the same time.
The scale didn't move, so I ate
Ten days of walking, no change in the number, and three nights that are going in the log anyway.
Recipes
All →Overnight Oats
104 g of sprouted oats, a scoop of protein powder and 140 g of blueberries, built in a jar the night before. Five minutes of work at a time when I am already in the kitchen.
Ground Beef Pasta with Red Lentils
Lean ground beef, cavatelli and red lentils in a sauce built from canned whole tomatoes. The lentils are the reason this one is worth writing down.
Instant Pot Sofrito Chicken
Chicken tenderloins, Loisa sofrito, salt and water. Pressure cooked and shredded in the sauce.
Sofrito Chicken Rice Bowl
A serving of the sofrito chicken over basmati, with half a jar of kidney beans. The bowl I build when the chicken is already made.
